BIOGRAPHY
Nathalie de Lopez is a photographer and portraitist born in France. After a career as a model, she turned to fashion photography and film direction.
Through her work, a duality emerges, mixing strength and fragility in the look of her subjects and her compositions. Each image becomes a manifesto for individual freedoms, a celebration of diversity.
She likes to reveal the ephemeral beauty of a moment or an emotion, where the mystical sometimes mixes with reality.
Nathalie reminds us of the importance of preserving our ability to dream and marvel. In her artistic quest, she also seeks to question societal norms, to illustrate them in order to better deconstruct them.
In 2019, she initiated the GANGSTER Magazine project, a collective and a media for the new generations of artists.
She directed her first short film, “DANCE OR DIE” released in 2020, a documentary with the dancer Kevin Bago, which has received several international awards.
